On Tuesday, January 20th, Kim Carrick, LHLBL President, and Arlene Raffa, 2025 Christmas Home Tour Chair, presented an original painting by local Lake Helen artist Judith Hopton to the Lake Helen Library.
The painting will be permanently displayed in the library and was presented to Amy Cantley, Volusia County Public Library West Region Librarian, and Marlene McCoy, Branch Manager of the Lake Helen Library.
On Wednesday, January 21st, Kim Carrick, LHLBL President, presented a $200 donation to Ray Arreyo, President of Friends of the Lake Helen Library, in support of their continued work for our local library.
The Lake Helen League for Better Living was honored to give back to our community by making donations to the Lake Helen Library, Friends of the Lake Helen Library, and the City of Lake Helen using proceeds from our 2025 Christmas Home Tour.
On Monday, January 26th, Kim Carrick, President of LHLBL, along with Heather Rodriguez, LHLBL member, presented a $1,000 donation to John Brandt, City Administrator of Lake Helen. These funds will be used toward the purchase of a new stove for Hopkins Hall, benefiting community events and gatherings.
